Located in Yanluo Village, Bulaotun Town, Miyun District, Beijing, Yunfeng Mountain Nature Scenic Area is a benchmark work of Sundon Retreats in practicing "creating scenic value." At the beginning of the project investigation, the team established a core proposition: how to transform an ordinary ticket originally priced at 35 yuan into an immersive resort experience worth a hundred or even hundreds of times more?
With this exploratory goal, the Sundon team refined nature and experience to the extreme, ultimately creating a highly representative resort product — the Fairy Tale Treehouse. After completion, the project not only maintained an extremely high room occupancy rate for a long time, but also, with its outstanding resort experience, was repeatedly listed in New Travel magazine's "Annual High-End Hotels and China Must-Stay Hotels TOP 50 List Annual Selected Family Hotels." This achievement perfectly confirms the huge commercial potential behind reshaping scenic value.

Creating a benchmark for wild luxury resort hotels in the desert
Ningxia Zhongwei Desert Hotel is located 8km deep in the Tengger Desert of Shapotou Scenic Area. Since its completion, the project has been highly recognized by the market. It has not only become a filming location for nearly 10 popular variety shows such as Viva La Romance and Keep Running, but also hosted launch events for high-end brands such as Montblanc and Lamborghini. Its online attention once soared to 300 million views. The project has won authoritative awards such as the ITIA Award, the Starlight Award, and Asia's Best Tourism Resort Hotel. Its peak-season occupancy rate and positive review rate both reach 98%. Its customer base is mainly high-net-worth individuals from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other cities, with repeat customers accounting for 20%.
In terms of business model, the hotel operator adopted Sundon Retreats' asset-light rolling development logic. After the successful trial of 20 cabins in Phase I in 2019, it steadily expanded through a virtuous cycle and has now developed into a comprehensive desert resort benchmark with over 200 rooms and multi-area linkage.

Growing Together with Trees over 5 Years
Since the project was launched in 2021, the Starry Sky Wild Luxury Hotel project, with its unique experience of "hidden in the forest, dwelling in luxury, gazing at the starry sky, and dreaming on clouds," quickly transformed from obscurity into a sought-after destination for resort travelers nationwide. The room scale steadily expanded from 10 rooms in Phase I to 54 rooms. It not only achieved counter-trend revenue growth during the pandemic, but also saw a double leap in popularity, visibility, and income year by year. For the Phase II expansion, relying on unique terrain, Sundon launched exclusively customized living spaces, shaping the soul of the project with 20% unique creativity.
Adhering to the core principle of "everything for experience," the project deeply integrated the three elements of stargazing theme, family recreation, and natural ecology throughout the entire life cycle of design and construction, ultimately presenting a scenic resort benchmark that is highly popular in the market.

From an obscure natural mountain wilderness to the 2026 "Most Beautiful China Check-in Destination"
In China's cultural tourism industry, the real challenge is not simply "doing a project," but turning it into a continuously growing destination. The practice of Sundon Retreats' benchmark project — Muye Mountain Stream — provides a relatively complete answer to this proposition: it successfully transformed from an unnoticed Hangai grassland into a 2026 "Beautiful China Check-in Point" and achieved fission-style growth with a single-day visitor reception of 60,000. What did Sundon do during this period?
In 2023, Phase I with 8 rooms was completed. We deeply understand that nothing is more important than opening, so we insisted on operating first and iterating later, and facts proved that the booking response was excellent. Subsequently, Phases II and III were rolled out and expanded, successively creating customized specialty businesses such as the "Not in the Stable" café, equestrian club, wild art museum, and grassland castle. These rich content nodes allowed Heiyang Mountain to completely transcend the category of a single hotel and truly grow into a comprehensive resort destination with clear reasons to visit, rich experience content, and profound传播 memory.

A prefabricated building product series born for wild luxury hotels, ecological camps, and scenic resort vacations, blending into nature with a light posture and reshaping the wild luxury resort experience.
A treasured family-friendly resort destination located around Shennongjia. Here you can find fairy-tale-like mountain treehouses, fairy-tale castles built with wood, simple and comfortable tatami... The fairy-tale cabins in the forest overlook like mushrooms and can naturally blend into the landscape.
Sundon Retreats provided full-service solutions for this project including planning, programming, architecture, design, and delivery. Phase I was completed in 2021 and received unanimous praise from tourists, as well as multiple honors and accolades in the industry. Phase II opened at the end of 2024. The project includes 12 treehouses and 1 public reception center, each leaning against lush tea mountains with staggered heights, offering a 270-degree expansive view that takes in the beautiful mountain and river scenery.
The project is located in Xinghua Village, Shiyan, Hubei, and officially opened on March 21, 2023. Sundon Retreats' delivered products include Blue Pine, Clear Dew, Round House, and Jack Magic Bean. The project belongs to the rural resort section of the "Danjiangkou City Xijiadian Town Xinghua Village Rural Revitalization Plan" and serves as a regional transformation and development demonstration area, boosting the all-for-one tourism development of Danjiangkou City.
At Ili Tianshan Flower Sea, Sundon Retreats used Doctor products to plan five functional units: reception center area, restaurant area, office area, tourism gift sales area, and experience area. They can also be independently opened or combined according to different peak and off-season operational needs. Paired with flexible combinations of tents and cabins, they satisfy different levels of accommodation experience for tourists.
Hubei Yichang Three Gorges International RV Campground is located in a forest park on the banks of the Yangtze River and beside Xiling Gorge. It was built according to the standard of "domestic first-class, internationally leading" and is the first riverside mountain-type RV campground in China. Sundon Retreats devoted efforts to building 41 wild luxury cabins at the project site, including single-story, multi-story, Zhangfang Brothers Series, ecological round house, and other unit types.
In 2025, Sundon Retreats' first heavy timber cabin project successfully went overseas and officially landed in St. Petersburg, Russia, marking a key step in the brand's global layout in the cross-border cultural tourism resort sector.
In Qiongjie County, Shannan, Tibet, on a plateau at an altitude of 3,800 meters, we did something that the industry considered "almost impossible" — building a wild luxury resort hotel in a completely ecological way on the roof of the world with harsh environment and fragile ecology. With this plateau resort project, we stood out from more than a thousand participating institutions nationwide and won the honor of "Annual Rural Revitalization Demonstration Zone."
In 2018, when 99% of grassland hotels were still copying yurts, Sundon Retreats built a wilder and softer resort possibility on the Hulunbuir Grassland — Muyun Mountain Top Grassland Resort Hotel, using 1 Zhangfang Doctor 205 and 7 Zhangfang Brothers - Clear Dew 1.0 to write the "non-standard answer" of grassland architecture.
On the East African savanna, the first luxury wild resort hotel built by Chinese people chose Sundon Retreats' Yunxi Sail Series. It is elevated on the vast savanna, becoming an excellent place for guests to enjoy sunsets and observe wildlife.
